After a very nice, dry and warm Saturday of practice we woke up at Sunday with a lot of rain. The rain has stopped at 9.00 AM but when we started with the qualifications the track was still wet. The first two qualifications it was still wet, but the third one the track was almost dry. In this round my X1 was very nice to drive. A lot of traction and enough steering. I could managed to drive 2 laps more than the number two and so I secured the TQ! After this round the top 3 was as followed:
1. Martijn van der Heijden (XRAY X1)
2. Daniël Jansma (XRAY X1)
3. Arnold van Bezuijen (XRAY X1)
Because the weather forecast we decided to have a short lunchbreak and continued with the finals. The first two finals were dry and the laptimes were getting faster and faster. I could managed to drive the fastest laptime in final 2 with a 20.4 (more than half a second quicker than the other drivers). In final 1 I drove 2 laps more than number 2. In final 2 it was 1 lap. The third final began dry, but after two minutes the rain was falling down. But my X1 performed also on the wet track very good! Were other drivers were struggling with the car, I could drive my laps.
